The general license was granted on July 19, 2010 and the trust license on July 26, 2010.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The new financial entity will provide all services offered by a general license bank especially commercial and mortgage loans, deposit and savings accounts, and will focus on small, medium and large companies as well as on individual clients.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Bank\u2019s president is Joseph Salteiro, who retired as CEO of HSBC Bank Panama after 34 years of service. Mr. Salteiro has vast experience in the Panamanian market and will have a group of prominent Panamanian businessmen as its principal partners.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With an investment of US$50 million, the Bank already has next to 100 potential clients and almost 75 employees with whom it plans to start operations at the end of the year 2010.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Counsel to Uni Bank &amp; Trust, Inc.:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eduardo Ferrer, Partner<\/li>\n<li>Ricardo Vidal, Associate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--:--><!--:es--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La Superintendencia de Bancos de la Rep\u00fablica de Panam\u00e1 (SBP) emiti\u00f3 resoluci\u00f3n en la cual se le otorga a <strong>Uni Bank &amp; Trust, Inc.<\/strong> Licencia Bancaria General y Fiduciaria para operar formalmente en la Rep\u00fablica de Panam\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde el 22 de febrero de 2010, el equipo de Morgan &amp; Morgan, representado por el socio Eduardo Ferrer, y a trav\u00e9s de una petici\u00f3n de la gerencia del banco, inici\u00f3 formalmente todo el proceso legal y administrativo requerido por la SBP para la obtenci\u00f3n de las licencias\u00a0exigidas para llevar a cabo el negocio de banca y operaciones fiduciarias en Panam\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ambas licencias fueron acogidas favorablemente por la SBP\u00a0 de manera expedita. La Licencia Bancaria General fue otorgada 19 de julio de 2010 y la Licencia Fiduciaria el\u00a026 de julio de 2010.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La nueva entidad financiera se dedicar\u00e1 a prestar todos los servicios que ofrece un Banco de licencia general, particularmente al sector de servicios de pr\u00e9stamos comerciales e hipotecarios, cuentas de dep\u00f3sito y cuentas de ahorro; y se concentrar\u00e1 en peque\u00f1as, medianas y grandes empresas, as\u00ed como en clientes individuales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Banco cuenta con Joseph Salteiro como presidente, quien se retir\u00f3 como CEO del HSBC Bank Panam\u00e1 despu\u00e9s de 34 a\u00f1os de servicio.
