Morgan & Morgan is pleased to announce that Fanny Evans, a partner and member of the firm’s Private Wealth Law & Corporate Services practice group, has been elected as a representative of the BVI Finance Board Members for a two years’ period. This announcement was made during the organization’s 2025 Annual General Meeting on February 12 in the British Virgin Islands.
This appointment marks a significant milestone as Mrs. Evans becomes the first Panamanian and Latin American corporate and fiduciary expert to join this board, highlighting LATAM’s substantial contributions to the BVI’s financial services industry.
During her speech, Mrs. Evans expressed her gratitude and Morgan & Morgan’s commitment to advancing BVI Finance’s mission as a leading voice in the financial services sector. She emphasized Latin America’s potential to enhance economic development further and bolster the sector’s reputation.
Joining Mrs. Evans on this esteemed board are Deon Vanterpool of Bank of Asia, Sabinah Clement of Vistra, Kayla Laidlaw of Deloitte, and George Weston of Harneys. They will work alongside returning board directors Jonathan Bailey of Rawlinson & Hunter, Chris Newton of Maples, Christopher Simpson of O’Neal Webster, and Iona Wright of Walkers. The government appointed representatives Jeremiah Frett and Ayana Glasgow.
