Belize receives an excellent evaluation from CFATF and makes its case for its permanent removal from non-cooperating in money laundering lists.

On January 23, 2025, the government of Belize informed the international financial services community that it had received the highest consideration in the most recent Financial Action Task Force-Caribbean (CFATF) assessment. Such news should put Belizean companies and structures in the crosshairs of clients seeking a jurisdiction with a good name and at good cost/benefit.

For Morgan & Morgan, where our presence in Belize is counted in decades, it is excellent news and is the result of an effort by said jurisdiction to improve and modernize its legislation to be able to compete with other international service platforms in the Caribbean region.
