Lawyers Kharla Aizpurua O. and Nestor J. Broce from the Legal and Fiduciary Units respectively, participated as speakers at the Law and Tax Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce of Panama (AmCham) to explain the Law 21 of May 10, 2017 that establishes the rules for regulation and supervision of trustees, the trusts business and the changes to the law of January 5, 1984 that regulates the trust in Panama.
Law 21 revokes the Executive Decree No. 16 of October 3, 1984 and amends some articles of the Law dated January 5, 1984. This law consists of 133 articles and it’s been in force since its promulgation.
