Emily Escartín is an Associate in the Intellectual Property Department at Morgan & Morgan.

Before joining the firm, Emily worked at a well-known Panamanian law firm, where she advised both local and international clients on various aspects of Intellectual Property. Her experience includes trademark registration and protection, cancellation actions, sanitary registrations, licensing, competition law matters, and litigation related to misuse and general Intellectual Property issues. She also collaborated with multiple government agencies, including the General Directorate of Industrial Property Registration, the Panamanian Food Agency, the National Customs Authority, and the Consumer Protection and Competition Defense Authority (ACODECO), among others.

She is a member of the Panamanian Association of Intellectual Property Law (APADEPI), the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI), and the International Trademark Association (INTA).

Emily earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Political Science from the University of Panama and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Intellectual Property Law from the Franklin Pierce School of Law at the University of New Hampshire.
