Regulation of tourists stay in Panama

By Executive Decree No. 269 of May 29th, 2017, the stay as tourists for nationals from Colombia, Nicaragua and Venezuela, reduces to 90 days.


  • This Executive Decree applies to individuals who are nationals of Colombia, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
  • A term of ninety (90) days is established for individuals of the above-mentioned nationalities to remain in the national territory as tourists.
  • Individuals from said nationalities who have entered the national territory before the effective date of this Decree will still be allowed to remain one hundred and eighty (180) days as tourists.
  • This Decree becomes effective as of the 31st day of May, 2017 by publication in the official gazette no. 28290.
